Early Spring days.....snow flurries and freezing winds.

Being Sunday we decided to stay near to home today. While walking through Victoria Country park in Netley, a lovely lady walking her dog told us about a frozen puddle and tree covered in icicles. We of course decided to investigate. Sure enough right where she said, we found a section of hedge and tree covered in icicles!! To add to that we even managed to find a few clusters of snow drops, an opened daffodil and some beautiful blossom.
Now for a well deserved hot bath and a roast dinner.

Milestone Museum, Basingstoke

Milestone Museum, Basingstoke

Due to the shifty weather we're currently having, a strange mix of rain, snow and sunshine. J and I decided to take a trip to a local indoor living history museum in Basingstoke. We spent 2 hours walking around the different Streets and businesses from bygone Hampshire. A very interesting few hours with lots to see.

I don't know if the person I was thinking about was waiting, but I certainly had it in mind to contact a friend today. And this came out of the fortune teller amusement! Spooky!!

Southsea, Portsmouth

A veritable time capsule of bygone days of the English seaside. Penny arcades, fish and chip shops, ice cream parlours and pleasure rides all litter the promenade. It was fantastic to breath in the sea air and enjoy the total nostalgia of it all.

Monuments to Portsmouth's military history are visible along the sea front.
